Optimaxx C288-422 Premium Countersunk Wood Screw 4.0 x 45mm

Summary

The Optimaxx 4.0 x 45mm countersunk wood screw is an extreme-performance fastener designed for professional timber fixing. Its combination of unique design features delivers fast, split-free insertion without the need for a pilot hole, making it suitable for both softwood and hardwood applications.

Features

• Razor-sharp point for immediate start on hard and smooth surfaces
• Long thin groove reduces pressure build-up on insertion, dispersing wood fibres to prevent splitting near edges
• Exclusive slash at the tip pulls the screw in smoothly and clears material from the hole
• Serrated saw-tooth formation above the point cuts timber fibres, reducing torque and resistance
• Double reinforced collar strengthens the underside of the head for added durability
• No pilot hole required, even when working close to the edge of timber
• Countersunk head for a flush, neat finish
