Optimaxx C288-435 4.0 x 70mm Part Thread Countersunk Wood Screw (Pack of 200)

Summary

The Optimaxx 4.0 x 70mm Part Thread Countersunk Wood Screw is a premium performance fixing designed for professional tradespeople and demanding joinery applications. Its multi-feature geometry delivers fast, clean insertion across a wide range of timber and board materials without the need for pre-drilling or counter-boring. Supplied in a pack of 200.

Features

• 24 slots cut into the underside of the head - self-countersinks into all materials without counter-boring and without surface damage
• Double reinforced collar significantly strengthens the underside of the head, preventing snapping and allowing a deeper Pozi recess
• Sharp, wide, deep thread formation coated with a unique lubricant for reduced friction and smooth drive
• Saw-tooth formation cut into the bottom threads bites into timber on insertion, reducing torque and enabling fast penetration without a pilot hole
• Specifically positioned long thin groove disperses wood fibres to dramatically reduce pressure build-up, preventing splitting when screwing close to the edge
• Razor-sharp point at as low as 20deg, with thread extending to the tip for an immediate start on hard or smooth surfaces
• Part thread shank for superior clamping force between two members
