Optimaxx C288-550 Extreme Performance Countersunk Wood Screws 5.0 x 100mm Box of 200

Summary

The Optimaxx C288-550 is a 5.0 x 100mm countersunk Pozi wood screw designed for extreme performance in timber, chipboard, and sheet materials. Engineered with a series of unique features, it eliminates the need for pilot holes and pre-drilling, making it a go-to fastener for professional joiners and site carpenters. Supplied in a box of 200, each pack includes a BiTorsion PZ2 driver bit.

Features

• Razor-sharp point for an immediate, precise start in hard or smooth surfaces
• Saw-tooth thread formation cuts into timber to reduce torque and resistance, enabling fast penetration without a pilot hole
• Fibre-dispersion groove reduces pressure build-up on insertion, preventing splitting near edges
• Exclusive slash at the tip pulls the screw in smoothly and clears material from the hole
• Double reinforced collar strengthens the underside of the head, reducing the risk of snapping
• 24-slot self-countersinking head allows flush seating without counter-boring or surface damage
• Wide, deep Pozi recess significantly reduces cam-out risk during driving
• Unique lubricant coating on thread formation facilitates fast, continuous insertion and corrosion protection
• Part-thread shank on screws 60mm and longer for superior clamping force
