UNIFIX Vortex Pozidriv Countersunk Wood Screw Yellow Passivated Zinc Plated 5 x 40mm

Summary

The UNIFIX Vortex 5 x 40mm is a high-performance multi-purpose wood screw designed for professional and trade use across a wide range of timber and sheet materials. Its advanced design combines a double countersunk head, serrated thread technology and a sharp gash point to deliver fast, reliable fixings without pre-drilling or pre-countersinking. The yellow passivated zinc plated finish provides effective corrosion resistance for indoor and general construction applications.

Features

• Recessed double countersunk head increases screw strength beneath the head, significantly reducing the risk of head shear during installation.
• Sharp milling ribs under the head assist with countersinking on the fly, eliminating the need to pre-countersink the workpiece.
• Saw Fix serrated thread technology enables the screw to power through a wide range of materials quickly and with minimal effort.
• Oblique-angle sharp gash point creates a faster start, self-drills the entry hole and helps prevent wood splitting.
• Pozidriv (PZ2) drive for compatibility with standard power drivers and screwdrivers.
• Fully threaded shank delivers maximum pull-out resistance, especially in sheet materials and engineered timber.
• Yellow passivated zinc plated finish offers good corrosion resistance for general interior construction use.
• CE approved to EN14592 for structural timber applications.
• Suitable for use in hardwood, softwood, chipboard, plywood, MDF, uPVC and thin sheet metal.
