Makita DJV186Z 18V LXT Cordless Jigsaw Body Only

Summary

The Makita DJV186Z is an 18V LXT cordless top-handle jigsaw supplied as a body-only unit, compatible with all Makita 18V LXT Li-ion batteries. Designed for fast, accurate cutting in wood, metal, and plastics, it suits both professional tradespeople and site workers who already hold Makita LXT batteries. Its compact, lightweight build and ergonomic rubberised grip allow precise control during straight, curved, and bevel cuts.

Features

• Variable speed trigger allows the operator to match cutting speed precisely to the material and application.
• Three orbital settings plus straight-cutting mode deliver faster or more aggressive cutting across a wide range of materials.
• Tool-free blade change mechanism enables quick, hassle-free blade swaps without additional tools on site.
• Tilting base plate bevels from 0deg to 45deg for angled and mitre-style cuts in a variety of workpieces.
• Electric brake stops the blade rapidly after releasing the trigger, improving both productivity and operator safety.
• Slim design with soft rubberised grip reduces operator fatigue during extended use and improves handling comfort.
• Compatible with the full Makita 18V LXT battery platform - no new batteries required if already in the system.
