Optimaxx C288-530 Extreme Performance Countersunk Pozi Wood Screws 5.0 x 60mm Box of 200

Summary

The Optimaxx C288-530 is a 5.0 x 60mm flat countersunk, yellow-coated extreme-performance wood screw supplied in a box of 200. Designed for professional trades and demanding timber applications, it combines a self-drilling point, self-countersinking head and unique anti-split groove to eliminate the need for pilot holes or counter-boring. Its hardened steel construction with lubricant-coated threads delivers fast, consistent insertion with minimal torque.

Features

• Unique 24-groove design self-countersinks into all materials without counter-boring or surface damage
• Double reinforced collar strengthens the underside of the head, preventing snapping and allowing a deeper Pozi recess
• Wide, deep Pozi recess (PZ2) dramatically reduces cam-out during driving
• Sharp, wide, deep thread formation coated with a unique lubricant for fast continuous insertion
• Saw-tooth formation cut from the bottom threads bites into timber, reducing torque and enabling fast penetration without a pilot hole
• Specifically positioned long thin groove reduces pressure build-up on insertion, dispersing wood fibres and preventing splitting close to edges
• Type 17 razor-sharp slash point gives an immediate, precise start on even the hardest or smoothest surfaces
• Yellow corrosion-resistant coating
