Optimaxx Extreme Performance Countersunk Pozi Wood Screw 4.0 x 50mm (Box of 200)

Summary

The Optimaxx C288-425 is a 4.0 x 50mm hardened steel countersunk Pozi wood screw designed for professional and trade use across timber, chipboard, and sheet materials. Built with a unique combination of self-countersinking, self-drilling, and anti-splitting features, it eliminates the need for pilot holes or pre-drilling. Supplied in a box of 200.

Features

• Self-countersinking head with 24 unique grooves cuts flush into all materials without counter-boring or surface damage
• Double reinforced collar strengthens the underside of the head, preventing snapping and allowing a deeper Pozi recess
• Wide, deep Pozi recess dramatically reduces cam-out during driving
• Sharp saw-tooth formation on bottom threads bites into timber, reducing torque and enabling fast penetration without a pilot hole
• Specifically positioned long thin groove disperses wood fibres on insertion, preventing splitting when screwing close to edges
• Sharp, wide, deep thread formation coated with a unique lubricant for fast, continuous insertion
• Razor-sharp point (as low as 20deg) with thread extending to the tip for an immediate, precise start on even the hardest surfaces
• Salt spray tested to 500 hours for corrosion resistance
• Compatible with screwdrivers, combi drills, and impact drivers
